KILDRUM LOOKING FOR A REPEAT.

We send two up to Hexham on Tuesday, where the heavy going will not suit the faint-hearted, as stamina will be at a premium.

Kildrum found his form with avengeance over this course and distance 12 days ago when strolling to a 25 lengths win, for which he has been raised 11lb to his new mark of 83. On the best of his hurdles form back in 2021 Kildrum was an excellent second from this mark, and if he arrives in the same mood as last time he will be the one to beat again. The race is a 0-100 handicap chase over three miles at 2.24.pm, with Emma Smith-Chaston retaining the ride.

Monaghan Boy has now had five tries over hurdles, including two starts in handicaps, and he has yet to get competitive. His four bumper runs back in 2021, and 2022 were not without promise, and if he could transfer that form to hurdles then his current mark of 83 would be attractive. He goes to post for the 3.45.pm, a 0-105 handicap hurdle over two miles and four furlongs, with the champion jockey Brian Hughes taking the mount.
