KILDRUM 5/1 WINNER!!!!!!!

On his fifth start for us over fences Kildrum got off the mark at Hexham on Tuesday evening under Emma Smith-Chaston, who once again looked very strong in a finish.

Kildrum had run well on a couple of occasions over hurdles at Hexham last season, especially when finishing second in March, and on his last start at Sedgefield five weeks ago he showed his first signs of ability over fences when finishing a nine and a quarter lengths fifth. His jumping that day left an awful lot o be desired, so in the circumstances he did well to finish as close as he did. In this smaller less competitive field he was able to settle into a good rhythm, and dictate matters from the front, as he bravely galloped to the line after making all.
