JUST JEAN AND THE RESDEV WAY TO RUN ON THURSDAY.

We have two runners on the fibresand at Southwell on Thursday. one in the first, and one in the last.

Just Jean will have to be up early, because she runs in the 11.50.am, in what will be her debut on sand. Her best run to date remains her impressive debut at Ripon as a two year old in June of last year when she finished second, form which would see her win this giving the opposition a furlong start, but it has been tough going since then. She raced a further five times as a juvenile without getting competitive, and finished last on her return at three, in September at Thirsk. Her last two runs have been on the all weather at Newcastle, over eight furlongs, and 10 furlongs, where she has run on at the business end without really getting competitive. This time she steps up to 11 furlongs, with Luke Morris riding for us for the first time.

The Resdev Way could tell Just Jean all about Southwell as this will be his 13th visit to the track, and his third in the last 23 days.Since joining us he has raced twice, and bettered his first run when finishing fifth last time. He was third over course and distance last November from a 12lb higher mark, and this race looks far weaker than the two he has contested recently. The race is a 0-70 at 3.20.pm for Apprentices, and we have booked Gina Mangan, who is attached to the yard of David Evans in Pandy, Monmouths.
