IT'S GREAT TO BE NATIONAL HUNT RACING AGAIN.

The jumps return on Saturday after a three week break, and we will be represented at Market Rasen, where the going is currently good, we are also at Perth, where it is also good, and we have a further two runners on the flat at Ripon, where once again, it is currently good going.

On the flat at Ripon, Toby Two Scoops is first up at 1.35.pm, in the 2 year old novices stakes over a mile, with Aiden Brookes retaining the ride. Toby Two Scoops started out at Thirsk in July over six furlongs, and then improved markedly at York three weeks later over a furlong further. He now steps up another furlong, and will be eligible for a handicap mark after this.

Arranmore also runs at Ripon, when he goes to post for the 0-60 handicap, over the extended one mile and one furlong, at 4.24.pm, with Aiden Brookes taking the ride. Arranmore suggested that his turn may be not too far away when finishing just outside the placings at Beverley and Pontefract in July, but on his most recent run at Pontefract he failed to get involved, so a return to those previous efforts is what is called for.

At Market Rasen, Storm Spirit makes her hurdles debut at 4.45.pm, in the extended two miles novices hurdle, with Alice Stevens on board for the first time. Storm Spirit has already been placed in two bumpers, and ran her best race on the flat on her seventh attempt last time, when finishing fourth at Musselburgh. She has worn both a hood and a tongue tie on previous occasions, and will wear them as a combination for the first time here.

Getaway Jewel came right back to form last time when a staying on third at Worcester, with the better ground being the key factor. In fact the quicker the surface the better his chance, for this very well handicapped four times previous winner. Getaway Jewel who has twice previously won over this course and distance, runs at 5.20.pm, in 0-105 handicap chase, over two miles and one furlong, with Alice Stevens on board for the first time.

Onenightintown who is another previous Market Rasen winner takes his chance at 7.20.pm, in the 0-100 handicap chase, over two miles and five furlongs, with Alice Stevens who has won on him previously, back in the saddle. Onenightintown was in the form of his life back in February when winning at Catterick, and then going down by a head 18 days later to his stablemate Brickadank at Market Rasen. He has since pulled up twice in March and June, and aims to get his season back on track here.

We also have a runner at Perth, when Shadowfax Of Rohan makes his stable debut at 7.35.pm, in the conditional and amateur riders bumper over two miles, where Becky Smith will take the ride. Shadowfax Of Rohan has run on two previous occasions finishing fourth on debut at Worcester in June, and then finishing second at Stratford nearly seven weeks ago. He obviously has plenty of ability, and will race for us in a first time tongue tie.
