IRV DECLARED FOR BEVERLEY.

We have one runner on Sunday when the five year old gelding Irv goes to post in the 0-75 extended one mile handicap at 3.40.pm, where the going at the time of writing is good, good to firm in places.

Irv will be reunited with his jockey Graham Lee for the first time since June 2020 when he finished an excellent second under top weight at Thirsk from a mark of 82, he will race on Sunday from 67. He has run on seven occasions so far this season, looking like he would take a hand in the finish more than once, but just lacking the turn of foot required, and in two of those races he has been unlucky when left short of room at a crucial time. The good to firm ground will be ok, and the stiff extended mile will also not be a problem. He has drawn eight of the nine runners, and hopefully this time he will get a clear run to the line.
