Indian Vision is a horse who has been unlucky to have a stop and start career to date, due to injury, but hopefully from now on this late maturer may well full fill his potential. After 13 months off the track he returned at Musselburgh last month to finish forth of the six, beaten a length and a quarter, his best effort yet when coming off a break, suggesting he is in fine fettle to run a big race on Wednesday in the 5.40.pm.The trip and going are fine, and Graham Lee rides him for the first time.

Indian Vision is a late maturing stayer who has still to fulfil his full potential, under both codes. As a horse who needed time and a distance of ground it wasn't surprising that he didn't make his racecourse debut until the October of his two year old career. Given a lovely educational debut at Redcar over six furlongs by P.J. McDonald, he was doing his best work at the business end. He had one more run as a two year old on the last day of the 2016 flat season at Doncaster, in hot company, he gained further education.
He returned at Ripon over one mile for the start of his three year old season, keeping on well, after a slow start, he was now eligible for a handicap mark. He didn't race for three months, until making his handicap debut off a nice looking mark of 55, he couldn't take advantage, and disappointingly never got involved. A run at Ripon the following month also offered little encouragement, it wasn't until Becky Smith took over in the Ladies Amateur Riders race at Redcar in October over one mile and two furlongs, that he showed us a step up in trip was now required, when finishing well into fifth.With the flat season almost at an end, it was decided to have a go over hurdles, where he made a pleasing start by finishing third at 66/1 under Fin O'Toole at Sedgefield. He failed to back that up at Catterick next time, but time would tell that the sharp track, and minimum distance were against him. His last run over hurdles to date was in an above average looking contest at Musslebough on New Years Day 2018, he now has a very tasty looking handicap mark in the low 90's to work with, when he returns.
It was five months until he reappeared over one mile and six furlongs on the flat at Redcar, and the now mature Indian Vision made no mistake from a mark of 50. He returned to the same venue four weeks later, and off a 6lb higher won again. Off a further rise in the weights to 61, he was beaten a neck next time at Carlisle, but he had finally got his act together. He has unfortunately suffered with injury since then, he was off the track for 10 months, before making a pleasing return at Ripon, when needing the run, that was in June of last year.
