HERESMAX ATTEMPTS TO GO ONE BETTER AT AYR ON THURSDAY.

Ian Ender

Heresmax who had shown absolutely nothing in two runs as a two year old, and also in a further two runs at three, looked a completely transformed horse when as a four year old on his seasonal debut at Catterick 22 days ago he surprised everyone when keeping on to be beaten one and a half lengths into second place at 50/1. It is highly unlikely that the run was a fluke as the winner of that race has gone on to finish second next time from a 4lb higher mark, and the third horse that day was a winner next time out. He also steps up in trip by a furlong which definitely looks in his favour, although the going should be considerably softer this time, and whether it will suit or not is an unknown. The race is a 0-55 handicap for Amateur Lady jockeys at 5.53.pm, with Miss Chloe Emsley having her first ride for the stable.
