GETAWAY JEWEL LOOKING FOR A QUICK REPEAT.

We have two runners on Monday, where the going at Southwell for their jumps meeting is currently good, and up at Musselburgh on the flat for their evening meeting, things are also considered good.

Getaway Jewel was a winner over this course and distance seven days ago at Southwell from a 7lb lower mark than now, and faces only slightly better looking opposition again this time. This will the highest mark he has run off to date, and 4lb above his winning mark at Market Rasen last July, but he does come in to the race in top form. He goes to post for the 3.00.pm, in a 0-100 handicap chase, over the extended one mile and seven furlongs, with the champion jockey Brian Hughes retaining the ride.

At Mussulburgh Sparkle In His Eye will take his chance in the 8.30.pm, in a 0-65 handicap over seven furlongs, with Aiden Brookes retaining the ride. Sparkle In His Eye put a rare poor run on his penultimate start behind him, when bouncing back to his best at this track 10 days ago, to finish in second place, for which he has been pushed up 1lb, leaving him still 3lb above his last winning mark, and there is no reason to think that he wont be competitive again.
