We have one runner declared for Wednesday at Doncaster, when Geryville goes to post for the 2.50.pm, a Class 3 Limited novices handicap chase over three miles, with Alain Cawley who has ridden him on all of his four previous starts for us retaining the ride.
The going at the time of writing is soft, heavy in places, and that is the ground Geryville needs to bring out the best in him. He was last seen at Newcastle 22 days ago when finishing a respectable second on ground that was far too fast. Prior to that he was pulled up at Wetherby, but a post race endoscopic examination revealed that he had mucus in his larynx. On his first two starts for us which were both at Wetherby in October when winning on stable debut, and then finishing second in December from a 10lb higher mark, suggested that he is progressive, and probably better than his current mark of 119.
