FIVE DECLARED FOR WEDNESDAY.

With the milder weather with us, I can write with more confidence that the racing will go ahead. We run three at Wetherby, where the going will be very testing, and we also take two to Wolverhampton on the all weather.

Brickadank is first up in the 12.30.pm at Wetherby, a novice hurdle over the extended two miles and three furlongs. This will be his third start over hurdles, and he should recieve his first handicap mark after this, Alain Cawley takes the ride.

We run two at 1.35.pm in the 0-100 handicap hurdle over the extended two miles and three furlongs. Onenightintown joined us last November after failing to get competitive in nine races in Ireland, and since arriving at Oakwood Stables it has been a similar story in three tries for us. His mark is now his lowest yet at 79, with Alain Cawley riding him for the first time.

The ex Polish dual winner on the flat Excalibur has his third run of the current season. He raced from 12lb out of the weights on his seasonal debut at Carlisle back in November, but was disappointing when last seen at Newcastle in December. He is more than capable of winning from his current mark, and he does act in heavy ground, Aiden Macdonald will claim 10lb off his back.

We also send two down to Wolverhampton, and neither of them are strangers to Dunstall Park. Hollie Doyle very nearly worked her magic on Red Skye Delight back in January when kicking clear two out, but unfortunately for the fourth time in Red Skye Delights career she found one two good. She will again run over the same course and distance of the extended mile, with Billy Garritty taking off 3lb. The handicapper has pushed her back up 1lb to 47, but she has been lucky with the draw, in stall three, the race is at 1.45.pm.

The Rutland Rebel was a winner at Wolverhampton on his last start 19 days ago, and the 3lb rise seems fair. That race was over an extended two miles which seemed to suit, so with him dropping back to one mile and six furlongs, he might require a fast run race. There is no doubt that The Rutland Rebel is still improving, and Billy Garritty who claimed 5lb off of him last time, has since had his claim reduced to 3lb, the race is at 3.50.pm.
