ENFIN PHIL 15/2 WINNER!!!!!!!

The best way to know how well your horses are is when they keep on winning, and hot on the heels of Justforjames at Cartmel yesterday, Enfin Phil also has now got himself back in the winners enclosure.

He was racing from a 7lb lower mark than when he was last successful in January 2020 at Catterick, but the big clue came on his last start at Kelso 25 days ago when finishing second, and running his best race since that win, over a two and a half furlong longer trip, which he probably just failed to see out. This afternoon at Uttoxeter he made practically all of the running, back at two and a half miles, under Alain Cawley, and when pressed coming down to the last,he showed his guts, and pulled out more.

If it's Gold Cup day at Royal Ascot, then it has to be the Ladies Derby for female amateur jockeys at Ripon. The race holds great memories for us, as back in 2016 our much missed grey Pertuis won the
