Dragons Will Rise must be every owners dream, and once again at Pontefract on Monday afternoon he showed us why, when winning for the sixth time in his last nine starts. Stepping up to 10 furlongs for the first time, and carrying the welter burden of 10 stone and 7lb proved no problem, as under Becky Smith, who is a big advantage to have on your side in Ladies Amateur rider races, drove Dragons Will Rise in to the lead around 100 yards from home. His winning spree began in March of last year from a mark of 49, and I would imagine when we see him next time he will be on a mark of around 70. Congratulations to the connections, The Golden Cuckoo.
