CRASH HELMET TO GET HIS FIRST TASTE OF SOUTHWELL

As a three year old Crash Helmet had some excellent form, winning at Newcastle, and finishing second twice at Wolverhampton, and Kempton, and on his handicap debut he was beaten one length and a quarter into fifth at Kempton, from a mark of 69.He was then off the track for the next 10 months before joining us, where he has struggled to repeat that form over six, seven, and eight furlongs, which include his only run on the turf at Pontefract, and six goes at Newcastle, which has seen his mark drop to just 45.

Needless to say that any resurgence in form would make him a handicap snip, as he now tries the sand at Southwell for the first time. He runs over six furlongs,at 7.15.pm, on Tuesday evening from a favourable draw of four, as long as he can get away from the stalls on terms. The race is for amateur riders, and having Becky Smith on board will be a big advantage.
