COUNTESS OLIVIA TO MAKE HANDICAP DEBUT.

Ian Ender

Life has been tough for our five year old mare Countess Olivia to date, in seven starts which include four bumpers and three flat starts she has raced against 60 rivals, and beaten just six of them.

Most horses don't get a realistic chance of winning a race until stepping into handicap company, and Countess Olivia will make her handicap debut from a mark of 46 at Thirsk on Friday at 4.35.pm, in a 0-55 over 12 furlongs, where once again she will be partnered by Andrew Elliott. Although her form to date doesn't inspire confidence, this of course will be her first realistic opportunity to get involved.
