Carnival Zain turned in yet another new personal best at Ascot on Friday afternoon when keeping on well to the line for a two lengths success in one of the seasons most prestigious races for Lady Amateur riders. Carnival Zain was winning for the fourth time this season, having started back in March off a mark of 64, he will reappear next with a new mark in the 80's for sure.
Make no mistake this was a very clever piece of placing, not only does this prestigious race offer lower rated horses a chance to win a prize in excess of £10,000 at Ascot racecourse, we are also in the enviable position of having the country's best Amateur female rider at our disposal, and that is also worth a good few 1lb's, as Becky Smith has very few rivals in this discipline who can boast having ridden out their claim.
