BALKOTIC MAKES THE LONG TRIP.

We have on runner on Wednesday at Worcester where the going is currently good, good to firm in places, and they have been watering.

Balkotic returns to Worcester to contest the 8.10.pm, a 0-105 handicap hurdle over two miles and seven furlongs, where he will once again be partnered by Becky Smith.

Balkotic was last seen at Worcester 34 days ago where after nearly losing his jockey at the first, Becky rode him into contention, only for him to lose his position before the fourth, he then made headway again and took up the running three out, and eventually finish a very respectable third under the circumstances.

The run which makes him look potentially well handicapped is his win back in May at Sedgefield where the third horse was beaten a full 16 and a half lengths, with the second horse that day since having won twice. If Balkotic can put in clean round of jumping this time, he will be competitive off his current mark.
