The new 2023 flat turf season is now underway, and Anjo Bonita will be our first runner at Thirsk on Tuesday, where the going is currently soft.
Anjo Bonita goes to post for the first race at 2.15.pm, which is a Class 5 maiden fillies stakes, over seven furlongs, with Billy Garritty, who rode her on all five occasions as a two year old, back in the saddle.
Anjo Bonita ran consistently to a similar level, finishing runner up three times, and third once as a two year old, over seven furlongs to a mile, on differing surfaces including on soft. Her current BHA mark of 76 suggests that a maiden is within her capabilities, with there being plenty of confidence that she should make up into an even better three year old.
