ALASKAN WIND TO MAKE STABLE DEBUT.

We have one runner at Catterick on Wednesday where the going at the time of writing is good, good to firm in places. The three year old filly Alaskan Wind who has raced out of two other yards will make her debut for us at 2.50.pm, over six furlongs in a 0-70 handicap with Aiden Brookes taking the ride.

All of her nine previous starts have all over been over seven furlongs, racing five times as a two year old for the yard of Jamie Osbourne, with her best effort coming on her second start at Chepstow in July of last year when she finished second.. After finishing fourth on her fifth start in a seller she was claimed by the yard of John Mackie, who ran her two weeks later in a 0-60 handicap at Newcastle where she immediately obliged by winning by a nose from a mark of 62. Her three runs since then, including two runs as a three year old have not been anywhere near as good, the latest of those being 11 weeks ago at Catterick.

She starts out for us over a trip that will probably be on the short side, but we will learn more of where we are with her after this run.
