ALAIN CAWLEY BOWS OUT IN STYLE.

RORY AND ME 15/8 WINNER!!!!!!!

On returning to the winners enclosure at Market Rasen on Friday afternoon it was confirmed that our stable jockey Alain Cawley was calling it a day after a near 18 year career in the saddle. Alain had kept it quiet to all but a very few that if he were to win a race before Hexham on Saturday then he would go out on a winner, which in fairy tale style occurred when Rory And Me powered to a two lengths success, and true to his word Alain gave up his other ride on Getaway Jewel later in the afternoon.

Alain who has ridden in excess of 230 winners under rules, including the Graded performer Joncol, on whom he won the Lexus Chase, and the Irish Hennessy Gold Cup in 2009, and 2010, retires fit and healthy in one piece, and will immediately start his new career as a jockeys agent. From all of us here at Micky Hammond Racing we say thank you, and wish Alain the very best in all he does in the future.
