A 198-1 TREBLE AT MARKET RASEN.

At Market Rasen on Sunday afternoon we recorded our third treble of this year.

MAC SUIBHNE 10/1 WINNER!!!!!!!

The first leg of the treble was completed by Mac Suibhne in the annual Tom Halliday Memorial Conditional Jockeys Handicap Hurdle. This was the first time that Mac Suibhne has raced for us having previously raced in Ireland. He was second on his last start in May in a point to point, but this was probably a step forward on that, with his opening mark of 92 clearly underestimating him judged on his ready win under Emma Smith-Chaston.

GETAWAY JEWEL 9/1 WINNER!!!!!!!

Getaway Jewel who runs in the the same ownership as Mac Suibhne opened his account over fences at the ninth attempt, when coming with a well timed run under the champion jockey Brian Hughes, to win comfortably by eight and a half lengths. Getawy Jewel has been a slow learner over the bigger obstacles which has seen his mark tumble 10lb below his last winning mark over hurdles. He will take a hike for this, but will remain competitive again next time.

WHO'S THE GUV'NOR 4/5 WINNER!!!!!!!

Who's The Guv'Nor has also taken his time to get the hang of things over fences, but it all fell into place over this same course and distance 16 days ago, when he got off the mark for the first time. From an 8lb higher mark, and also in a higher grade this time Who's The Guv'Nor confirmed he is improving at a rate of knots when winning by 11 lengths, doubling up under Brian Hughes, and completing a very memorable day for the yard.
