James 'Waggy' Waggott
Waggy, or James if it’s Sunday, has grown up in a racing family. With his grandfather training and then his Auntie taking over the reins, in Spennymoor, Co. Durham. Leaving school at 16, Waggy worked for Howard Johnson who trained in Crook not far from his family home.
Waggy has had 40 plus point to point rides and in October 2019 got his amateur jockeys licence.
Waggy hobbies mainly involve vintage tractors and beer festivals. His favourite racecourse is Cartmel, and aspires to ride his favourite horse Swinton Diamond there.
