Born in Leeds and ridden since she could walk, Amy had the best pony days Shetland racing all over the county on her little white bomber Riccalton Snowberry for trainer Karen Knixon in Catterick. Competing at Olympia in 2013 and 2014 was the highlight and where her love for racing began. Having competed in British eventing and show jumping Amy says her greatest achievement to date is qualifying and Competing at HOYS 2015 in the pony club mounted games on her bestest friend Ditto for the Badsworth hunt.
Full time work in racing started in 2018 for Tom Tate and then onto working for Archie Watson before joining the bestest team........Micky Hammond 💙💛
Amy's favourite racecourse is Beverly as this is where she rode her little pony Ditto in a pony race, had her first experience in the weighing room and being a jockey. Amy hopes to get her apprentice licence and re live this as a jockey fulfilling her dream in becoming a successful flat jockey.
Her favourite horse in the yard is Frankelio as he is such a softie in the stable and has a passion for his job, he gives Amy some feeling up the gallops!
